GELLC utilizes state of the art drilling and completion techniques. These techniques are designed to safeguard air and water resources. For example, GELLC endeavors to use the most benign ingredients for its drilling and completion fluids. GELLC also endeavors to capture all gas and oil produced immediately via ‘green completion’ techniques so as to minimize the escape of methane into the air.
GELLC’s completion fluids are comprised almost entirely of water and sand. A small amount of other additives (less than 1%) are utilized primarily to reduce pumping pressures. A list of additives by well can be obtained at FracFocus.org.
